Antonio Scialdone
Antonio Scialdone completed his Ph.D. in Fundamental and Applied Physics at the University of Naples “Federico II” in Italy. Following his doctoral research, he moved to the UK for postdoctoral work, first joining Martin Howard's lab at the John Innes Centre, and later working with John Marioni at the EMBL-EBI and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute in Cambridge.
With a background in theoretical physics, Antonio has addressed various biological challenges using both analytical and computational methods. He currently leads a research group at Helmholtz Munich, focusing on understanding how cells change their identities and how they can be reprogrammed.
Dr. Antonio Scialdone’s lab uses a multidisciplinary approach, integrating principles of physics with advanced data analysis techniques to explore single-cell and spatial omic data. to analyze single-cell and spatial omic data, aiming to develop predictive models of cell fate decisions.
