James Canham

Dr James Canham is an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at The Sainsbury Laboratory, Norwich, where he manages GetGenome, a non-profit organisation that supports researchers around the world. He earned his Ph.D. at the John Innes Centre, Norwich, focusing on molecular interactions between plants and herbivorous insects. During his doctoral studies, James developed a passion for collaboration and community empowerment by spearheading several projects focussed on building scientific forums and outreach both in the UK and in Africa. These experiences have led him to his current role with GetGenome.
